Dudhsagar Falls is a four-tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the border of the Indian state of Goa and Karnataka. It is 60 km from Panaji by road and is located on the Madgaon-Belgavi rail route about 46 km east of Madgaon and 80 km south of Belgavi. Dudhsagar Falls is amongst India’s tallest waterfalls with a height of 310 m (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 metres (100 feet).
The falls is located in the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park among the Western Ghats. The waterfall forms the border between Karnataka and Goa states. The area is surrounded by a deciduous forests with a rich biodiversity. The falls are not particularly spectacular during the dry season but during the monsoon season however, the falls are fed by rains and form a huge force of water.
If you like an adventure in Goa, I would recommend the Dudhsagar falls. It will take 45 Mins to reach from the entrance and registration place. We can take only the jeeps which can go 7 people. The waterfalls are spectacular. You absolutely should wear your life jackets! so many people take them along because its required.
We spent good many hours enjoying the place.Very well maintained, neat & peaceful. Quite family/kid friendly.
The Bridge is for trains, where it hits down the bottom to as swim area where people enjoy the falls….
Dudhsagar falls is a very nice place. This fall is middle of the forest. Very nice greenery ans awesome atmosphere.
Took a little while to get there in a jeep but well worth the journey The pool of water under the falls was crystal clear and lots of fish swimming about The monkeys were friendly and took bananas from our hands An absolute must see whilst you are in goa Very busy and the rocks around the pool can be slippery and sharp so be careful and wear suitable footwear
